United Virtual - Crew Center Tutorial
Logging In For the First Time
You should know your username and password. Once you log in, your Pilot Profile will show up. This will show your statistics, flight hours, rank, and other information about you. When you log in for the first time, you must link your email to your account. To do this, click “Pilot Actions” on the top of the page. This will bring up your Control Panel. Next, click “Change Profile”. Here you can change your profile picture, country, hub, email, and password. Your country is used for time zones and other things, so please make sure that is correct. Your hub is the hub airport you fly out of the most often. Whatever you do, DO NOT change your name. Your name should be your Infinite Flight Community username.
Logging a Flight
We are not completely done with our route database yet. If you would like to fly a United route that is not in the route database yet, you can log it using “Manual PIREP”. To do this, go to “System” in the top right corner. Then click “Pilot Actions”. When you get to your Control Panel, click “Manual Pirep”. Here you enter the date (yes, I know it’s in Spanish… we couldn’t figure out how to change it, so…), departure airport ICAO, arrival airport ICAO, flight time (Decimal Form - 1 hour and 30 minutes would be 1.5), fuel used, aircraft, and any notes about the flight. Once you log it, we will approve or reject it within 24 hours.
Pilot Booking System (Work In Progress)
Only select routes are in the booking system, but we will be adding more every day until we complete our route list. To book a route, click “System” in the top right corner. Then go to “Pilot Actions”. Once you’re in your Control Panel, click “Book Route”. There, you will find all of the routes you are eligible for. To select a route, click the “i” on the right side of the route information. This will pull up the Available Aircraft list. Select the aircraft that you would like to fly the route on. Then, you’re done! Your route has been booked for the next 24 hours. Once you have flown the route, file a Manual PIREP, with the same route and aircraft, and it will be put into our system.
Viewing Pilot Stats
Want to know what rank you are? How many hours you have flown? What airport you are located at? To do this, simply go to “System” in the top right corner to open up your Pilot Profile.
